Dr. Wang received her Ph.D. degree in physiology from Peking University in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Nanping Wang. She was also a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Shu Chien. She conducted her postdoctoral work at Heidelberg University, working under Prof. Carmen Ruiz de Almodovar at the biochemistry center. 

Dr. Wang is currently a professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Tianjin Medical University. She is the recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars of China. The major focus of her research is to gain insight into the molecular and cellular mechanisms of vascular diseases, particularly retinal vascular diseases, using a combination of genetic, molecular, and histological approaches.
