Dr. Ziyan Yu got her Ph.D. degreee in Natural Science and Clinical Medicine from China Medical University. During the Ph.D. studies, she received a scholarship from the China Scholarship Council and conducted research on developmental biology in gene knockout mice at the Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California, as a joint Ph.D. student. After graduation, she started to work at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University (Ophthalmology Hospital) and finished the standardized residency training. In 2018, she attended a training program, China Optometry & Ophthalmology Resources Development (COORD) , at the New England College of Optometry in the United States. From December 2019 to June 2022, she conducted postdoctoral research at Wenzhou Medical University under the supervision of Professor Lu Fan, focusing on the mechanisms of myopia development.

1.Corneal refractive surgery and myopia prevention and control
2.Congenital eye developmental abnormalities and mechanisms of myopia.
Participation in Projects
Principal investigator for one National Natural Science Foundation project, as well as one provincial and one municipal science and technology project.
