Yong Wang, male, born in June 1979, is the Director of the Ophthalmology Department, serving as a Chief Physician with a PhD in Medicine. He is a visiting scholar at the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Dr. Wang has published over 20 papers in core and SCI-indexed journals, co-authored the book Techniques in Ophthalmic Surgery, and has led or participated in four research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Dr. Wang has been honored as the "Most Outstanding Support Physician" in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province, and was recognized as a Jianghai Talent at the municipal level in Nantong. He serves as a Youth Committee Member of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association's Ophthalmology Division, Secretary of the Cataract Study Group in the Ophthalmology Branch of the Jiangsu Medical Association, and a Committee Member of the Dry Eye Rehabilitation Section under the Visual Rehabilitation Specialty Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine. Additionally, he is an Executive Member of the Ophthalmology Committee under the Jiangsu Integrative Medicine Association and Vice Chairman of the Ocular Tumor Committee in the Jiangsu Anti-Cancer Association.
Dr. Wang specializes in femtosecond laser-assisted and conventional cataract phacoemulsification surgeries, complex cataract procedures, various glaucoma surgeries, and minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries for orbital diseases.
