周孝来，教授，博士生导师，海外高层次引进人才，广东省”珠江人才”，中山大学”百人计划”人才，中山眼科中心眼科学国家重点实验室课题组组长，中国研究型医院学会神经眼科专委会常务委员，中国老年医学学会基础与转化医学分会委员，中国“一带一路” 眼科联盟委员，广州市医师协会神经眼科专委会常务委员，德国弗莱堡大学博士，美国康奈尔大学博士后，美国梅奥诊所助理教授，从事神经眼科学的基础研究与临床；主持NIH、科技部重点研发项目（子课题）、国自然面上项目、广东省自然面上项目等近十项基金。以通讯或第一作者身份在Lancet Neurology, Brain, Nature Communications, Acta Neuropathologica, JCB, EMBO Reports, Aging Cell等杂志发表学术论文20余篇，并参与编写专著4部；担任Scientific Reports, Neural Regeneration Research，Cellular and Molecular Biology等杂志编委。
Xiaolai Zhou is a Professor of Ophthalmology and a Principal Investigator of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Lab in the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC), Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Dr. Zhou is also an Overseas High-Level Talent, a Guangdong Province Pearl River Talent, and a "Hundred Talents Program" Scholar at Sun Yat-sen University. He serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Neuro-ophthalmology Subcommittee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, a Member of the Basic and Translational Medicine Subcommittee of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, a Member of the Belt and Road Ophthalmology Alliance, and an Executive Committee Member of the Neuro-ophthalmology Subcommittee of the Guangzhou Medical Association. Dr. Zhou received his M.D. from the University of South China (2006) and his Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Freiburg（2013）, and conducted his postdoctoral training at Cornell University (2013-2017). Before joining the ZOC, Dr. Zhou served as an Assistant Professor at the Mayo Clinic (2017-2020). Dr. Zhou practices neuro-ophthalmology, with research focused on the molecular mechanisms and gene therapy of brain and retinal neurodegenerative diseases. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Lancet Neurology, Nature Communications, Brain, Acta Neuropathologica, Journal of Cell Biology, and EMBO Reports. Dr Zhou also serves as an editorial board member for Scientific Reports, Neural Regeneration Research, and Cellular and Molecular Biology, among others.
