Purpose: To explore the influence of quality control circle activities on the postoperative awareness rate of patients who have undergone refractive surgeries. Methods: In this study, 508 patients who have undergone refractive surgeries between July 15 th and December 14 th 2021 in the myopic laser department of a tertiary specialized hospital in Guangzhou city were recruited. The quality control circle activities with the theme of " improving the postoperative awareness rate of patients who have undergone refractive surgeries " were carried out, including main measures as following: current situation grasp, target setting, factor analysis and true cause verification, countermeasures and implementation The study was gradually implemented on schedule。RESULTS: The postoperative awareness rate of patients who have undergone refractive surgeries in the myopic laser department increased from 58.00% to 90.94%. The target achievement rate was 108.96% and the improvement rate was 56.79%. After the implementation of the QCC circle, the circle members' awareness of quality control techniques, skills of communication and coordination, sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, self-confidence, degree of harmony, team-work and courage to face problems were improved.CONCLUSION: The quality control circle activities effectively improved the awareness rate of postoperative health knowledge and the comprehensive ability of circle members in patients who have undergone refractive surgeries.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to collect and sort out various drugs mainly used for the treatment of dry eye in clinical ophthalmology in recent years, and comprehensively analyze their clinical drug characteristics in ophthalmology, so as to promote the rational use of drugs for the treatment of dry eye. Methods: Through computer retrieval of databases such as CNKI and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service platform, literature related to the clinical treatment of dry eye published from 2018 to 2024 was screened and comprehensively analyzed and discussed. Results: The study found that the main dry eye drugs commonly used in clinical ophthalmology are drugs to improve tear quality, such as supplementing and repairing eye surface components and promoting the secretion of glands around the eye, anti-inflammatory drugs, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibacterial drugs, immunomodulatory drugs, and traditional Chinese medicine for internal and external use. Conclusion: Different types of anti-inflammatory drugs have certain efficacy in the treatment of dry eye, but it is necessary to choose the appropriate treatment plan according to the situation of patients. Future research directions include in-depth exploration of the mechanism of action of various treatment methods, carrying out large sample clinical trials, combining modern scientific and technological means to further study the pathogenesis of dry eye, and conducting long-term follow-up studies to evaluate the long-term effects of treatment programs.
[Abstract] Objective: To understand the perioperative experience of patients undergoing corneal collagen cross-linking surgery, and to provide reference for the smooth progress of corneal collagen cross-linking surgery and postoperative rehabilitation. Method: Using purposive sampling method, 12 patients who underwent corneal cross-linking surgery were selected from the Sun Yat sen Ophthalmology Center of Sun Yat sen University from August 2023 to October 2023 for semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using the Colaizzi seven step method. Result: Through analysis, five feelings of patients during the perioperative period were identified: anxiety, pain, fear, tension, and blind optimism. Conclusion: Analyzing the different feelings of patients undergoing corneal cross-linking surgery during the perioperative period and providing good perioperative care can help achieve satisfactory results in the surgery.

Purpose To evaluate the application effect of case-based ladder teaching of PBL (Problem-Based Learning) in pre-clinical training of ophthalmology professional postgraduates. Methods Data were collected from the resisdent standardized training base of the Ophthalmology Department in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital from September 2016 to September 2023. According to the teaching methods received, they were divided into a case-based PBL ladder teaching group (Ladder PBL group) and a traditional PBL group. The teaching effect was evaluated through theoretical exam scores, comprehensive quality scores, and questionnaire surveys. Results The average theoretical exam score of the Ladder PBL group (84.67±5.38 points) was higher than that of the traditional PBL group (75.71±4.73), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). The comprehensive quality score of the Ladder PBL group in image reading, case analysis, frontier progress, and humanistic care were higher than those of the traditional PBL group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.001). In the teaching evaluation, the Ladder PBL group scored higher than the control group in inspiring students, case analysis, ideological and political education, and problem feedback, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). Conclusion The application of case-based ladder teaching of PBL in pre-clinical training of ophthalmology professional degree postgraduates helps to cultivate and enhance the clinical thinking ability of residents, enabling them to integrate into ophthalmology clinical practice more quickly.
