Prof. Lu has over 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of oculoplastic surgery, orbital diseases, and ocular tumors. As the leading expert in introducing nasal endoscopic techniques at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Prof. Lu has pioneered the application of minimally invasive, personalized, and customized treatments for orbital diseases. They have also developed significant expertise in performing endoscopic minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of optic nerve and related diseases.
Prof. Lu’s research focuses on the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and scientific investigation of common and critical conditions in the field of orbital diseases and ocular tumors. Their primary research areas include, but are not limited to:
1. The pathogenesis and treatment of ocular tumors
2. Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy and its treatment
3. Research on neural injury repair and function
4. Novel therapeutic approaches for ocular adnexal lymphoma
Prof. Lu has been awarded four grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three provincial-level grants from Guangdong Province, two major project grants from Guangzhou City, and one clinical research grant under Sun Yat-sen University’s “5010” Program. They have published more than 30 SCI-indexed papers and received the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Guangdong Province as the principal contributor.
